WHAT IS CBD AND HOW DOES CBD WORK?
CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is the primary cannabinoid found in the Hemp Plant. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that occur naturally in the human body and they actively interact with cannabinoid receptors located throughout the body. When CBD binds to these receptors, it triggers various physiological actions that may help to regulate your appetite, pain sensation, mood, and memory. Feeding your Cannabinoid System can potentially increase these positive triggers and bring you to a balance.
HOW IS THE HEMP PLANT DIFFERENT FROM MARIJUANA PLANT?
While CBD is a naturally-occurring component of marijuana, it does not cause a “high” like some may think. The CBD we offer is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. The hemp plant more heavily carries CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC and a host of other cannabinoids while yielding only trace amounts of THC. Industrial hemp is defined by US law as cannabis having 0.3% or less delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content by dry weight. Thus, the hemp plant and its derivatives are not known to cause psychoactive effects and they provide a much fuller spectrum of cannabinoids in general to achieve the “entourage effect.”

WHAT IS THE “ENTOURAGE EFFECT”?
Full Spectrum Hemp is made up of a variety of compounds including cannabinoids, terpenes, and trace amounts of THC. When these compounds work together, they create a synergistic effect called the “entourage effect”. These components- the cannabinoids, the THC, the terpenes- all work together to enhance the potential benefits of the plant, with each compound amplifying the therapeutic properties of the others while mitigating their potential side effects. Though the impact of this effect has not yet been validated through clinical studies, this synergistic interaction is believed to increase the potential for therapeutic effect.
HOW DO I SHOP SAFE?
Always go with companies that offer one of our main values – TRANSPARENCY. With the thousands of CBD companies that exist, how do we spot the good ones?
REPUTABLE COMPANIES WILL:
• Offer exceptional customer service that stands behind their products
• Provide Full and transparent Lab Results and details on packaging such as mg strength of CBD, THC content and contact information.
• They will not use sweeping health claims. CBD is not FDA regulated and such claims are not legal.
• In Stores, reputable brands will offer knowledgeable and helpful associates. They should empower you with the information you need to make purposeful and informed buying decisions.
At Bee Well CBD, we not only require the Lab Results, we also verify that our products reflect our standards by utilizing a reputable third party testing lab for verification. All info is available on the packaging and we are available to answer questions during our normal business hours.
